 Orchids Garden Center and Nursery is now Urban Gardens and Greenhouse. We changed our name to better reflect the products that our garden center offers. Our main focus is no longer orchids, but rather, we offer customers a large selection of indoor and outdoor plants to create their own “urban” gardens. We are open year-round and our product line includes annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, houseplants, fall décor, holiday greens, orchids (seasonally), and garden décor. The majority of annuals and perennials are grown in our on-site production greenhouses. We have now begun production of trees and shrubs on-site as well. Kent and Cheryl Franz purchased the business in 2007. With the help of their son, Skylar, they expanded to include a 5,000 sq ft retail annual greenhouse. An outdoor tree and shrub area has also been added where you can find a wide selection of trees and shrubs, including specimen items. It is our goal to carry some of the more unique plants that you may not be able to find elsewhere. We take pride in growing annuals for the State Capitol and Governor’s Residence, as well as the Main Street planters and hanging baskets for Waunakee. Stop in to see us today! 

Urban Gardens & Greenhouse is a full-service garden center and greenhouse located just north of Middleton on Highway Q. We are a family run business since October 2007. Franz Landscape and Tree Services, affiliated with the garden center, is another division of the family business. We have been diversifying our product line over the years and will continue to do so. We offer a wide selection of houseplants to choose from all year long. Visit us in the spring and you will find greenhouses full of annuals that we grow in our production houses on-site. It is very important to us that we grow most of our annuals on-site to ensure a better product for our customers. We also have a large stock of perennials, shrubs and trees and a knowledgeable staff that can help you pick out what you are looking for. During the winter we have holidays greens and plants to choose from, including wreaths, fresh greens in containers or by the pound, Poinsettias, and more!
